Working with certain health plans and specific government agencies, Access2Care offers rides to and from eligible healthcare appointments all across the country. If you are a Medicaid, Medicare, or Dual Eligible recipient and a member of one of our clients' health plans, you are most likely eligible for rides to and from your healthcare appointments. These ride services are to help you when you don’t have another way to get to your healthcare appointment. Ask your health plan or Medicaid agency if they offer this benefit to you through Access2Care.
There are many types of transportation available to Access2Care members. When you call to schedule a ride, Access2Care will verify your eligibility and then arrange the best kind of ride for your needs. The kind of vehicle is based on your medical condition at the time of the appointment. This may mean a bus tickets or bus pass. We may also schedule your trip by car, taxi, van, wheelchair van or stretcher van. Often, we can also pay back a friend or family member who will take you to your healthcare appointment. We also have volunteers who give rides to healthcare appointments.
