Transportation Network Companies

Transportation Network Companies (TNC), commonly referred to as rideshare companies (i.e., Lyft), help deliver NMT riders to and from medical appointments. This is an optional service in the state of Texas that members can request in most areas, though there are limitations based on the availability of services in some regions of the state. Members interested in utilizing transportation network companies may request to use rideshare when speaking with a member service representative. The member service representative will educate the member on what to expect when riding with a TNC, including the text messages that the member will receive, driver wait times, how to request the return ride home, and the phone number to contact if they have questions or encounter any issues.
